Round two of fixtures

Greece vs Czech Republic

Greece did superbly to come from behind with 10 men to rescue, what at half-time appeared to be the unlikeliest of points. The harsh red card galvanised the 2004 Champions, showing spirit and courage many pundit dismissed the Greeks of having. Giorgos Karagounis was superb; however his missed penalty could be the difference between qualification from a competitive group or elimination.

Will Samaras score? He's 4/1 anytime with Sportingbet

Czech Republic were poor against Russia and only a wasteful Alexander Kerzhakov kept the scoreline relatively close. Realisitically only one of Czech Republic and Greece have a chance of progression, so a defeat for either would leave them all but out, in the Czech's case they would be out. Expect a better performance from Tomas Rosicky and co with their country on the verge of elimination.

The pressure is on both sides to really get their tournament going; however I can see them cancelling each other out in a draw.

Poland vs Russia

It's fair to say the co-hosts missed a brilliant oppourtunity to start their tournament in style, blowing a lead against the 10 men of Greece. Robert Lewandoski, like his country, started brilliant, but faded and the pressure will fall at the feet of the Dortmund striker to fire Poland to victory over the group favourites, in what is a must not lose match for the Poles.

Russia were superb going forward against Czech Republic and they could have easily scored more then the four they did record. Andriy Arshavin was at his superb best as he orchestrated everything that was good about Russia. In Alan Dzagoev they have a highly talented youngster, who marked his first tournament appearance with a brilliant brace.

Dzageov to score another double? 22/1 with Sportingbet

Perhaps foolishly fancy Poland to beat Russia, with their home crowd roaring them home.

Poland to be leading after 15 minutes - 15/2 with Ladbrokes - Lose a fiver
